How To Order
vignette
Initial Site Visit

Following up your enquiry, we would gather as much information as possible about the sort of mural decoration you are looking for and its proposed location. This would enable us to provide some general advice and details on our pricing for your consideration. At this time it would be advantageous to have some measurements and/or photos of the walls and areas concerned.

Then, and if appropriate, we would like to meet you on site to show you examples of our mural wallpaper products, learn more about your requirements, and discuss options. At this meeting we would collect sufficient information to enable us to prepare a thorough proposal for your required mural decoration.

We would, of course, be pleased to meet with and take briefing from your interior designer or decorator to discuss the integration of the murals into your overall design scheme.

Wall Survey

At this initial site meeting, or very soon afterwards, we will carry out a detailed survey of the walls, door and rooms under consideration, taking measurements and photographs as necessary.

Commission Proposal

We will prepare a comprehensive proposal containing all the information you will need to commission the project with absolute confidence. Our proposal will include a detailed specification for both the mural artworks and wallpaper materials, together with a delivery timetable, and all the relevant prices. We will provide sketches, colour swatches and material samples as necessary.

At this stage, drafts of actual artworks and photographs to be used within the murals may be provisionally used for design purposes. The actual artworks and photographs will be commissioned or purchased on receipt of the purchase order from the customer.

We would welcome the opportunity to visit you again in person to present our proposals and answer any questions you might have.

Commission Contract

Once you are happy with everything, we will confirm the details of your order with you and initiate work on preparing all the necessary artworks for the printing your mural wallpaper. We will ask you for payment in full at the time of order.

Your wallpaper will be delivered to you, ready for immediate installation, to the agreed schedule, usually within 30 days of the date of order. Installation by ourselves, if ordered, will usually be completed within 60 days of order.

Pricing
Pricing

Every job we undertake is bespoke, specifically designed and configured for its particular location. Consequently every aspect of the job is priced accordingly. We are happy to provide guideline prices for any project that you are considering and we will, of course, offer a firm price with any complete proposal that we present to you.

Installation

As above, each installation is unique and is individually priced. We are happy to provide guideline prices for any project that you are considering and we will, of couse, offer a firm price with any complete proposal that we present to you.

Commission Flexibility

The client may of course order murals individually or in batches to suit their own timetable and schedule for redecoration. When appropriate, we are happy to undertake a commission in stages to allow for any interim building works that may be necessary to be completed. This arrangement will also allow you the opportunity to assess the mural installation step by step, enabling minor changes to the mural content to be made should they prove necessary.

Printamural would be pleased to discuss any of these matters in more detail and revise or develop a proposal in accordance with your instructions.

Installation
Pre-Installation

We recommend that any electrical and/or lighting works are carried out (by others) prior to the installation of the mural decoration. We also recommend that any planned painting and decorating works are carried out (by others) prior to the installation of the mural decoration.

Where possible, various other unsightly items, such as fans, shelves and brackets, are removed from and/or re-positioned (by others) on the walls to be decorated.

Mural Installation

It is usual for Printamural to install our wallpaper products, and all our proposals include prices for this service. Hoewever, it is entirely feasible for the customer to arrange for the installation themselves, although we recommend that the mural wallpapers are installed by an experienced decorator.

To facilitate installation, each mural is provided with a diagram showing the arrangement and sequence of the wallpaper drops. Additionally, each wallpaper drop has printed corner registration marks to assist with proper alignment.

Printamural is available to advise, oversee, and if necessary assist with, the installation on site. Printamural can also, if required, arrange for an installation service, and a prior estimate of cost, on behalf of the client.

Detailed instructions on installation, including recommended adhesives and tools, are available on our website www.printamural.com and the Muraspec website www.digimura.co.uk.

Wallpaper Materials
Material Specifications

Our wallpaper products have been developed by Muraspec, Europe’s leading commercial wall covering manufacturer, especially for digital printing. The material is a high-quality fabric backed wallpaper manufactured to contractor specification for use in both domestic and commercial spaces.

The material meets and supersedes industry regulations and has a tried and tested ‘Class 0 and Class1’ fire rating to BS476 part 6 & 7 when printed. Detailed manufacturers’ Data Sheets are available.

Suitability for Purpose

Please note that while these materials are designed for commercial use, it remains the client’s responsibility to determine their suitability for this proposed application.

As with all printed media, some colour fading may occur in the printed image over time.

Other Matters
Replacement Drops

It is worth noting that our digital printing process allows replacement 'drops' of wallpaper to be produced if necessary. This facility can be useful if a small area of a mural becomes damaged and needs to be replaced. Please note that while we can match colours very well, an exact colour match cannot be guaranteed.

Maintenance

No particular on-going maintenance of the wallpaper is required, perhaps just an annual brush-down. The wallpaper products are washable (see attached spec sheet).

Lighting

No special lighting is required to illuminate our mural wallpapers as they are designed to be viewed in normal ambient lighting conditions. Printamural will be able to advise if and when any dedicated lighting may be desirable or required.

Insurance

It will be the responsibility of the client to provide insurance cover for the mural wallpaper materials as from the time of delivery and during installation irrespective of whether or not payment in part or full for the wallpaper products has been made and irrespective of whether or not Printamural is instrumental in the installation of the wallpaper products.
